ラクシャ・バンダン2025：史上最高に甘くて温かい「きょうだいの日」！
Hey everyone! So Raksha Bandhan is coming up on August 9th, 2025 and I’m literally so excited! There’s just something magical about this festival that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
What’s the Big Deal?
Raksha Bandhan means “protection bond” and it’s about celebrating a crazy, beautiful relationship between siblings. You know how your sister is super annoying most of the time but she has your back the next? Yeah, this day is all about that!
On the day
Imagine this: sisters wake up, get that cute little puja plate ready with tilak, rice, sweets, and those gorgeous rakhis. Then comes the sweet part – the aarti, applying tilak on your brother’s forehead while he tries not to squirm, and finally tying that colorful thread around his wrist.
But honestly, the real magic happens when sisters whisper those prayers for their brother’s happiness and brothers promise to always be there. Plus, who doesn’t love the gift exchange and all those yummy sweets?
Sisters always tie rakhis to their brothers and not the other way around.
Food, Glorious Food!
And the food? Laddoos, jalebis, samosas, sweets – basically every delicious thing you can think of! The whole house smells amazing and everyone’s just happy and stuffed.
What is the real thing?
At the end of the day, it’s not just about the thread or the sweets. It’s about that unbreakable bond, trust, and unconditional love that makes families awesome, that makes the relationship between brother and sister even more special. Some people even tie rakhis to close friends they consider family – how sweet is that?
So this August 9th, millions of us will be continuing this beautiful tradition that’s both ancient and totally relevant today!

みなさん、こんにちは！
2025年のラクシャ・バンダンがもうすぐ、8月9日にやって来ます！もう、ほんとうにワクワクしています。
この祭りは何か魔法のようなもので、心温まる気持ちにさせてくれます。
ラクシャ・バンダンって何がそんなに特別なの？
ラクシャ・バンダンとは、「保護の絆」を意味し、兄弟姉妹の素晴らしい関係を祝う日です。
たとえば、妹や姉って普段はめちゃくちゃうるさいけど、いざというときは絶対に味方になってくれる…そんな心当たりがありませんか？
この日は、まさにそれを大切にするためのものなんです！
当日の様子はこんな感じ
想像してみてください。
姉妹たちは、朝起きて、ティラク、米、お菓子、そして美しいラクシを乗せたかわいいプージャプレートを用意します。
そしてハイライトの時間——アールティー（儀式）、兄のおでこにティラク（赤い印）をつけるところ。兄はそれに耐えながら（笑）、最後にラーキー（兄弟愛を象徴する紐）を手首に結びます。
でも本当の感動は、姉妹が兄の幸せを祈るとき、そして兄が「いつも守るよ」と約束するその瞬間です。もちろん、お互いにプレゼントを交換したり、美味しいお菓子を食べたりするのも楽しみのひとつ！
ちなみに、ラーキーを結ぶのは必ず姉妹のほうからで、兄が姉に結ぶことはありません。
食べ物が最高！
そして、食べ物！！
ラドゥー、ジャレビー、サモサ、その他いろんな甘いものやおかずが並んで、まさに食の祭典！
家中がいい匂いで満たされて、みんな幸せでお腹いっぱいになります！
本当の意味は？
結局のところ、大事なのはラーキーやお菓子じゃなくて、壊れない絆、信頼、そして無条件の愛です。それが家族を特別なものにしてくれて、兄妹という関係をより深くしてくれます。
最近では、本当の家族じゃなくても、大切な友人にラーキーを結ぶ人たちも増えてきています。それもまた素敵なことですよね！
